UPDATE FEBRUARY 1, 2022:

Following are details regarding the yearly New Community of Faith Congregation Meeting.

The Part B Congregation Meeting is 2:15 PM Saturday 2/12/2022.  Attendees can meet both in person and online.

Important point: there are three openings, so you can vote for three people. Or you could vote for 2 people, 1, or 0.  The ballot will have a place for you to "write in" yourself or another Congregation Member as one of your votes.

Three nominees were selected at the meeting:

Part A of the yearly Congregation Meeting was held Sunday January 30.  The meeting started at the end of the weekly service, just after 2:15 PM.  The meeting was held in person and online.

Rev. Evelyn

Rev. Evelyn Vigil attended.  The Board of Deacons is pleased to recommend Rev. Evelyn for the position of interim Pastor of NCoF. Rev. Evelyn stepped out of the meeting so that the Members could make comments.  The comments were all positive.  We welcomed Rev. Evelyn as the new interim Pastor of New Community of Faith.

Nomination and Election of Board of Deacons

A major agenda item for the Part A meeting was the nomination of Members for three open positions on the 2022 Board of Deacons.  To allow for a private ballot with both in person and online attendees, a voting period of a few days is required.  Ballots listing the nominees were mailed to the Members after the Part A meeting, Monday 1/31/2022.  Part B of the Congregation Meeting will be held 13 days after Part A, that is 2:15 PM Saturday 2/12/2022, with the ballots counted at that time.  This approach worked well in 2021.

The Part B meeting will again be in person at the church or online.  The Zoom link, meeting id, and password are the same as we have been using for several weeks.  See https://www.newcommunityoffaith.net/zoom-details for details on joining a Zoom meeting by telephone, smart phone, laptop, iPad, etc.

The Members should have received by now 1. a ballot, 2. a stamped envelope to return the ballot anonymously, 3. the 2022 Budget, 4. the 2021 Budget vs actuals, and 5. the envelope containing this voting material.

Meeting Length

The Part A meeting took just over an hour. Since we moved the Part B meeting to Saturday 2/12/2022, there is no longer a conflict with the Superbowl.

To Attend and to Get Ballots

For information to attend, see the "Zoom Details" page of this website.  We continue to use the same Zoom link.  Attendees can join in person, or by telephone, smart phone, laptop, iPad, etc.

A ballot was mailed to all Congregation Members Monday February 1.  The last known address was used.  Please update Rich Paschburg at rpaschburg@gmail.com or 669-264-9760 as soon as possible if your address has changed since the 2021 meeting.  Return the paper ballot in time for counting at the Part B meeting.

You can request that an NCoF Member or some other person receive your ballot material, and if needed, return it as your proxy.  If you would like a proxy to vote for you, let Rich Paschburg at rpaschburg@gmail.com or 669-264-9760 know who you choose as a proxy.  If you pass your ballot to the proxy, your vote can remain private.

Voting by paper ballot is preferred, but we can handle a voice call to cast your vote if necessary.   Email can be questionable, so if you send a proxy request (or your vote) by email, you should request that Rich Paschburg confirm that your proxy request (or vote) has been received.

Again, contact Rich Paschburg at rpaschburg@gmail.com or 669-264-9760 for assistance -- or if you have not yet received your ballot.

2022 Budget and 2021 Budget vs Actuals

The 2022 Budget and a comparison of 2021 Budget vs Actuals (actual spending) are available.  A paper copy was included with the election ballots for Members.

The intention is to approve the 2022 budget if the meeting time permits, subject to specific modifications requested at the meeting.
